1. Core Privacy Philosophy
Fricxo is designed with physical privacy first. Unlike traditional screen time apps that harvest your activity logs, browsing records, or private messages for telemetry monetization, Fricxo operates on an offline-first, zero-knowledge architecture. Your hardware key physically controls lock enforcement. We do not inspect the contents of your communications or keystrokes.
2. Android App Permissions & Usage
To effectively lock distracting apps and enforce blue-light or focus shields, the Fricxo Android Companion requires explicit system privileges:
- Accessibility Service (Non-Intrusive Overlay): Used strictly to detect when a blocked package enters the foreground and display the hardware lock overlay. No text input, credentials, or personal content is ever captured or uploaded.
- Usage Access (Package Stats): Used to calculate daily app screen time budgets locally on your device.
- Local VPN Service (Loopback DNS Sinkhole): BlueCut and PureMind shields route adult domain traffic and out-of-network requests to a local 127.0.0.1 sinkhole on your handset. No remote VPN tunnel exists and no user browsing traffic ever exits your phone to Fricxo servers.
- NFC & Camera: Used exclusively to scan your physical Fricxo Card or read its backup QR code.
3. Physical Hardware Card Tokens & Recovery
Each physical Fricxo smart card carries a tamper-resistant token encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Your card recovery code is hashed securely. When you trigger an Emergency Lost Card recovery request through our platform, your card is automatically blacklisted across devices for 30 days to protect your intentional lifestyle from impulsive override.
4. Data Storage and Synchronization
Account credentials (email, hashed passwords) and cloud routine schedules are synchronized over TLS 1.3 to our encrypted backend database. You maintain complete autonomy over your data: you can purge your focus routines or delete your account at any time.
